Social Work

Social workers help people, help themselves.

Social workers at MUSC Children's Hospital are part of a team of dedicated, caring professionals working with you and your child during your visit to the hospital and clinics. They provide services that support your social and emotional needs. Each social worker holds a current South Carolina social work license and is specially trained in working with children and families. Each social worker also has a master degree in social work (MSW).

Our inpatient social workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you and your family during your child's visit to MUSC Children's Hospital. We provide many services, which include helping you identify resources at the hospital and in the community and providing support and counseling.
