Spina Bifida Program
The spina bifida program at MUSC Children's Hospital is available to all patients who carry the following diagnoses: occulta,
lipomeningocele, meningocele and myelomeningocele, and sacral agenesis.
The program is available for consultation, referral and ongoing care covering prenatal
patients through late adolescence.
The MUSC spina bifida clinic meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month and is
multidisciplinary in nature - meaning a team of health care professionals with intensive knowledge in spina
bifida care is available to assist our patients and their families.
Other services, such as social work, nutrition, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology
are also available as needed.
