After-Hours Care
MUSC Children's Hospital is pleased to provide an after-hours care clinic in North Charleston. Delivering immediate medical attention to children, from newborns to 18 years of age, at times when their doctor's office is closed.

Hours:
4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Friday
12 p.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays

Offering:
- Visits (episodic illnesses including sore throats, earaches, bronchitis, cough, colds and flu and upset stomach, sprains, strains and fracture care (sports-related injuries))
- Asthma therapies - breathing treatments
- Point of care testing - urinalysis, RSV, influenza, rapid strep
- Urinary catheterization
- IV therapy for dehydration
- Splinting
- Simple laceration repair with glue and/or steri-strips
- Foreign body removal
- On-site digital X-ray capabilities
The clinic has six exam rooms, child friendly waiting area, a triage room, and digital x-ray service. The clinic staff assists with the transfer of any patient who needs more specialty-based care or has an acute illness that requires more serious intervention.
