Medically Fragile Children's Program
What is The Medically Fragile Children's Program?
The MUSC Medically Fragile Children's Program (MFCP) is an all-inclusive care program for medically complicated children. MFCP has provided special care to children with chronic illnesses and disabilities since 2005. Our team includes parents, a pediatrician, a pediatric nurse practitioner, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, a dietician, a teacher, psychologists and home care technicians. MFCP provides access to medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is located in its own day health resource center.
Who Are Our Participants?
MFCP participants range from birth to 21 years of age, have a qualifying health condition, are Medicaid eligible and live in Charleston, Berkeley or Dorchester counties.
