Ear, Nose & Throat at MUSC Children's Hospital Following are some of the procedures performed in Ear, Nose & Throat:

Cleft lip and palate repair
Surgery for velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI) - palatoplasty, sphincter pharyngoplasty and pharyngeal flap surgery
Laryngotracheal reconstruction - repair of narrowing of the larynx (voicebox) or trachea (windpipe); often this procedure is performed to remove a tracheostomy tube
Cochlear implantation - operation to restore hearing for deaf children
Repair of microtia - operation to build a new external ear for children born with malformed or absent external ears
Videostroboscopy - procedure used to identify causes of voice abnormalities in children
Comprehensive care of tracheostomy-dependent children
