Pediatric Gastroenterology : What to Expect

We currently have a high demand for our services and patients may have to wait several months to get in for a new referral. We are working diligently to see as many patients as possible. It helps us to see more people, if you call 843-876-0444 to cancel ahead of time if you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment.

Upon coming to the clinic, you will be registered by our excellent support staff and may have to sign or fill out some forms. For new patients it helps to come 15 minutes early to the appointment. A nurse will take you back to the clinic and check vital signs, a weight, and a height. You will be seen by one of our four providers. New patient visits typically last over an hour and return patients close to 45 minutes. You may have to get labs or x-rays after your visit is over.

Typically expect to spend 2 hours for a new patient visit and 1 hour for a return patient visit. Please bring any records that you feel are pertinent to the reason why you are being seen in clinic. Please bring all your medications with you to your appointment.
