Meet Dr. Quiros:
  

Dr. Bhanu Pillai received a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the University of Kerala in India. He then completed his medical school at T.D. Medical College Alappuzha in Kerala, India. His post-graduate Pediatric Residency was completed in India at the Medical College of Kottayam. His second Pediatric Residency was completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. His fellowship in Pediatric GI was completed at Louisiana State University, New Orleans, LA and also at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI. He has been in practice for twenty five years. He is a member of NASPGHAN, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Carter-Kent received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Chemistry from Williams College in Williamstown, MA in 1996. In 2002, she was awarded a Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She went on to complete both internship and residency in General Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic. She then completed three years of fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic in July 2008. After fellowship, she joined the staff in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Cleveland Clinic and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. She joined the staff in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Medical University of South Carolina in August 2011. 

Dr. Carter-Kent is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Carter-Kent is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and has served as a member of the Nutrition Committee. She is also a member of the Network of Minority Research Investigators - National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease. Her clinical interests include pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and pediatric obesity.
