Special Events
Special events, regardless of size, put MUSC Children's Hospital on display. They
offer the opportunity to educate the community about the wonderful programs and
research that is happening at MUSC Children's Hospital. As powerful communicators,
special events send messages that make a far more lasting impression than the most
expensive brochure money can buy.
All events that benefit MUSC Children's Hospital must be consistent with
the spirit and tone of the organization and the image we want to communicate to
the community. The most brilliantly designed and executed special event will
be counterproductive if its message is confusing or inconsistent with
MUSC Children's Hospital's other fundraising activities.
The following is a preliminary criteria list for special event approval.
If the proposed event meets the criteria, it will then be presented to
the Children's Hospital Fund Special Events committee for approval.
- The event must support MUSC Children's Hospital Fund's mission to improve
the healthcare of South Carolina children through raising funds for
continued research, education and programs vital to the success of
MUSC Children's Hospital.
- The event must fit with the MUSC Children's Hospital image.
- The event must not conflict with other major community events.
- The event time line is crucial, as it must not overlap with our own scheduled events.
- 100% of money raised must go towards MUSC Children's Hospital.
- The event must not detract from any other event benefiting MUSC Children's Hospital Fund.
