Shaken Baby Syndrome: An Overview

Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is the collection of signs and symptoms resulting from the violent shaking of an infant or small child. Dr. Joel Cochran, the Medical Director of the MUSC Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, discusses shaken baby syndrome, how it is diagnosed, how it affects a child’s neurological system and possible long term developmental problems.
