Dr. Tim Givens, Medical Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at MUSC, discusses the value and purpose of this new department at the Medical University of South Carolina. This has provided a much more conducive environment for treating children in need of urgent medical care, and Dr. Givens provides some examples of how the department is geared specifically toward this purpose.
