MUSC Pediatrics Chair Honored by Paget Foundation

Lyndon Key, M.D., of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) was honored for his dedication to children with osteopetrosis and other
disorders by the Paget Foundation. The award presentation was made Oct. 13 in Phoenix at the annual meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral
Research.
Key is professor and chairman of the MUSC Department of Pediatrics
The Paget Foundation provides information and assistance to patients and families suffering from Paget disease of bone and related disorders. It also
provides professional education and seeks to expand public awareness of the disorders.
In presenting the award to Key, Charlene Waldman, director of the foundation said, "Today we honor Lyndon Key for his dedication and commitment to
Sijia Lee (a baby from China, who Key not only treated, but helped bring to the U.S. for treatment despite many obstacles) and all of the children with
osteopetrosis and other disorders. The Paget Foundation recognizes him as our first Recognition Award. Lyndon's great skill as a clinician and investigator
and his compassion and kindness are an inspiration for all of us."
