Students at Springfield College’s School of Human Services are pitching in their time and effort to support a new project, “Building Blocks for Success.” The project is part of a new undergraduate initiative dedicated to learning and assessing the needs of community service through challenging and interdisciplinary approaches to learning.

The group wants to assist children from the MUSC Children’s Hospital by providing them with toys and educational items supporting their Child Life Wish List. To help communicate their needs, MUSC Child Life Department created a Child Life donation wish list that includes a list of much-needed items from infant and juvenile toys, books, videos, to some board games, electronics, arts and crafts and other items.

Participating Springfield College students hope their efforts will be successful in helping the community’s most neediest people. The group believes that their project’s success relies on the support and donations from area businesses who show a continual commitment towards children. Springfield College students take pride in striving for success and partnering with this MUSC program benefitting children.

For information, contact Brenda Dyer at 863-9953 or John Parler in the child life department at 792-8805.
