MUSC Pediatric Urology provides the following services:

1. Consultations: inpatient and outpatient consultation for any and all Pediatric Urologic conditions

2. Prenatal Consultations: for expecting families whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a problem of the kidneys, bladder, or genitalia

3. Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Procedures - open, laparoscopic, endoscopic and robotic surgery:

          a. Penile Reconstruction
               i. Circumcision, circumcision revision
               ii. Repair of penile curvature
               iii. Hypospadias repair
               iv. Meatoplasty
               v. Urethroplasty
               vi. Epispadias repair

          b. Scrotal, Testicular, and Inguinal Surgery
               i. Hernia and hydrocele repair
               ii. Undescended testis surgery

          i. Reconstructive Urologic Surgery
               i. Bladder augmentation

4. Robotic and Minimally Invasive Pediatric Urologic Surgery – dedicated faculty who use the DaVinci robot and laparoscopic procedures to perform kidney, ureteral and bladder surgery with a minimally invasive approach.

          a. Robotic and Laparoscopic Procedures Performed:
               i. Pyeloplasty
               ii. Ureteral reimplantation
               iii. Ureteral reconstruction for duplex ureters and ectopic ureters
               iv. Undescended testis repair for intra-abdominal testes
               v. Varicocele repair

               vii. Bladder augmentation
               viii. Bladder neck reconstruction
               ix. Continent catheterizable stomas – bladder and bowel
               x. Excision of urachal remnants and bladder diverticulum

5. Voiding Dysfunction/Improvement Program – a program with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to help care for children with problems urinating and voiding dysfunction

          a. Comprehensive bladder and bowel regimens
          b. Complex uroflowmetry
          c. Urodynamics
          d. Biofeedback pelvic floor therapy

6. Bladder Exstrophy Program

          a. Bladder exstrophy closure, delayed closure, re-closure procedures
          b. Penile reconstruction/epispadias repair
          c. Continence procedures:
               i. Bladder neck reconstruction
               ii. Continent catheterizable stomas
               iii. Bladder augmentation
