Evidence-Based Medicine Resources-Questioning

The development of sound questions is of foremost importance in the application of evidence to clinical medicine. The structure of the question will help lead the practitioner through the subsequent processes of searching, selecting, evaluating, and applying evidence to clinical questions. Additionally, practioners must recognize the goals of their question - is a comprehensive literature review required (as in preparation for a review) or a focused review needed (such as a rapid answer to a specific question about efficacy of a new treatment).

Subsequent pages in this section address the types and structuring of questions. The section ends with links to resources available on the web where further readings or examples can be found.
